If your organization runs email through Securence, you have a deadline now. US Internet, the company behind Securence, has confirmed it is retiring the platform, along with its web hosting and other cloud services, on November 11, 2026. For any Twin Cities business that depends on Securence to filter phishing, spam, and malware before it reaches an inbox, that date is closer than it looks. A gap in email filtering, even for a few days, is an opening for the kind of attack that starts with one bad click. This is a good moment to treat email security as a business decision, not a background IT task.
Securence is shutting down all cloud services, including email filtering, on November 11, 2026.
Businesses using Securence need a new email security provider in place before that date.
Waiting until the deadline creates a real window of exposure to phishing and business email compromise.
RYMARK is moving affected clients to Proofpoint Advanced Plus, a stronger, enterprise-grade replacement for Securence's filtering.
The switch can be planned now with no downtime and no lost email, for Minneapolis and Saint Paul organizations on Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace.
Securence has served as a front-end filter for thousands of organizations, screening messages for spam, phishing, and malicious attachments before they reach a mailbox. When that layer goes away, nothing else changes automatically to take its place. If a business does not point its mail flow to a replacement filter before November 11, inbound email either stops being screened the way it was, or in some configurations, stops routing correctly altogether. Email security in this context means more than spam filtering. It covers sender authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC), attachment scanning, link protection, and the layer that catches look-alike domains before an employee ever sees them.
A forced vendor shutdown is different from a normal renewal cycle. The timeline is fixed, so planning has to happen on Securence's schedule, not a business's own budget cycle. Email also remains the number one entry point for ransomware and business email compromise, and attackers are quick to notice when a known filtering service exits the market. Many organizations affected by this shutdown are running Securence in front of Microsoft 365 or another platform, and those integrations need to be reconfigured correctly, not just switched off.
Moving early, rather than waiting for the deadline, has real advantages for a business.
Time to test the new filter against real mail flow before the old one disappears
No pressure-driven decision making in the final days before November 11
Continuity for employees, so nothing looks different in their day-to-day inbox
One less item competing for attention during Q4 budget and planning season
Putting this off has costs that are easy to underestimate.
Unfiltered or misrouted mail in the days around the cutoff
A higher chance of phishing and business email compromise slipping through during the transition window
Vendor backlogs as many Securence customers all look for a new provider at once, right before November 11
Compliance exposure for organizations in healthcare, finance, or legal work that require documented email controls
A modern email security layer sits in front of a business's mail platform and screens every message before it lands in an inbox:
Monitoring: Every inbound and outbound message is screened in real time against known threat signatures and behavioral patterns.
Support: A team is available to release a wrongly quarantined message or investigate a suspicious one.
Security: Sender authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) confirms a message came from who it claims to be from, blocking look-alike domain attacks.
Maintenance: Filtering rules and threat definitions update continuously, without a business managing them manually.
Optimization: Reporting shows what was blocked and why.
RYMARK has spent nearly 30 years helping Twin Cities organizations manage IT with a security-first mindset, and a forced vendor shutdown is exactly the kind of disruption this approach is built for. RYMARK is moving affected clients to Proofpoint Advanced Plus, an enterprise-grade platform built to replace what Securence provided and go well beyond it. RYMARK's team plans the cutover in advance, confirming current mail flow, mapping DNS records, and scheduling the switch for a low-impact window.
Proofpoint Advanced Plus is not a like-for-like swap. It closes gaps that existed under Securence and adds capability that was not there before.
Proofpoint Advanced Plus also brings enterprise-grade threat intelligence and scalable protection for both Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace, so the protection layer scales with whichever platform a business runs mail through. This includes 24/7 monitoring after the switch and expert-level support that understands both the old Securence configuration and the new platform replacing it.
Step 1: Assessment. Review how Securence is currently configured, including MX records and SPF/DKIM/DMARC settings.
Step 2: Risk Identification. Flag anything that depends on Securence beyond spam filtering, such as archiving or continuity mailboxes, so nothing is lost.
Step 3: Implementation. Configure Proofpoint Advanced Plus, update DNS records, and test mail flow in parallel before fully cutting over.
Step 4: Monitoring. Watch mail flow closely in the days immediately after cutover to catch any delivery issues early.
Step 5: Continuous Improvement. Review quarantine reports and threat data after the transition to fine-tune filtering rules for the business's actual mail patterns.
Healthcare: Email carries protected health information, so authentication and encryption controls need to carry over exactly, with documentation for compliance.
Financial services: Wire and invoice fraud attempts frequently arrive by email, making authentication a priority during any switch.
Legal: Client confidentiality depends on email controls that hold up under scrutiny.
Nonprofit and religious organizations: Often running lean IT teams, these groups benefit most from a fully managed switch.
Manufacturing: Business email compromise targeting accounts payable is common here, and a gap in filtering raises that risk directly.
Professional and government services: These organizations face reputational risk if a phishing email appears to come from their domain during a transition gap.
Switching providers is a planned expense with a known scope. Waiting until the deadline, or past it, is not. The cost of a single successful phishing attack, from incident response to downtime to potential data loss, routinely runs into tens of thousands of dollars for a small or midsize organization, far beyond the cost of a managed transition completed ahead of time.
Securence's shutdown is a fixed deadline, not a flexible one, and email security is not a place to leave a gap, even briefly. Twin Cities businesses that plan the switch now, rather than in the final weeks before November 11, get a smoother transition and a materially stronger filter with Proofpoint Advanced Plus. RYMARK has helped Minneapolis and Saint Paul organizations navigate exactly this kind of change for nearly 30 years, with a team that plans the cutover carefully and stays available afterward.
